Monika Setia is working as Regional Officer – Hyderabad with United States – India Education Foundation (USIEF). She joined USIEF at the beginning of 2018 with a work experience of around 12 years in the education industry. After finishing her Ph.D. degree from The Pennsylvania State University, USA in 2010, Monika worked as a Research Fellow at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Singapore. She moved back to India in 2011 to work with Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) at one of their sister institutes – Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar – as Assistant Professor till the end of 2016. In the year 2017, she worked as Regional Manager – Counseling and Education Services with the ELS International Education Pathways Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad before joining USIEF.
Monika believes that exposure to high quality education, research, and professional systems allows individuals to imbibe the culture, values, and knowledge from the environment, leading to their personal, academic, and professional growth. Having pursued her graduate degree from US as an international student and having studied and worked in the Indian education system, she is passionate about working on exchange of students, scholars, and professionals between US and India.
