Fulbright to India Guide – 2021-2022

Social Media

We encourage all our students and scholars to share about their work not just with their family, but within their network of friends, peers and other professional networks.  This will help us to reach out to more people who may be interested in applying for a Fulbright Fellowship.  We view the USIEF Fulbright blog also as a platform for providing Fulbright supporters and those with interest in India with real life experiences on the ground to keep them informed, engaged and inspired.

Fulbright Blog

We would like to hear your voice through the blog.  Blogs can come in the form of written pieces, photo essays, videos or artwork.  We would like you to use your creativity! While blogging, we would remind you to keep the following instructions in mind:

Avoid confusion by acknowledging that yours is not an official Department of State website, and the views and information presented are your own and do not represent the Fulbright Program or the Department of State.

While participants in all U.S. State Department-sponsored academic exchange scholarships have full academic and artistic freedom to write, publish and create, they are also expected to maintain a standard of conduct that is in keeping with the spirit and intent of the Fulbright Program – to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.

Please remember that describing the challenges of living in a foreign country is fine, but please refrain from using disparaging language to describe the country you are in and the people you live and work with.

Any grantee who posts inappropriate or offensive material on the Internet in relation to the Fulbright Program may be subject to revocation or termination of their grant.

Please honor your commitment to your affiliated institution which included confidentiality and respect.

Do not post material or photos in violation of trademark or copyright laws.  You should receive prior permission from people/institution before using any of their photos.

USIEF Fulbright Blog (Site under construction) is not an official site of the Fulbright Program or the U.S. Department of State. The views expressed on this site are entirely those of its author and do not represent the views of the Fulbright Program, the U.S. Department of State, or any of its partner organizations.

The U.S. Department of State policy reads: “Web-Based Media: Grantees who share their Fulbright experiences publicly via web-based media are responsible to acknowledge that theirs is not an official Department of State website or blog, and that the views and information presented are their own and do not represent the Blog or Fulbright Program or the U.S. Department of State.  Any grantee who posts inappropriate or offensive material on the Internet in relation to the Fulbright Program may be subject to revocation or termination of their grant.”

USIEF Program Coordinator Kalden Shringla is the point of contact for the blog. To actively blog, please email your posts to Kalden.
